Entertaining: The Cocktail Party | Cooking Class with Joel Olson
Take a break from the Holiday bustle and enjoy an evening learning a repertoire of tasty recipes to be able to throw your very own cocktail party for yourself, a special friend or any occasion!
We will focus on classic and contemporary recipes including:
Wilburn’s Cocktail Meatballs (Beef meatballs browned then simmered in a sweet and tangy tomato based sauce)
Parmesan Gougères (The original cheesy poofs)
Lamb, Feta and Spinach Phyllo Packets (Flaky and buttery phyllo packets filled with ground lamb, fresh feta and chopped spinach.)
Polenta Bites with Goat Cheese and Green Harissa (Crispy polenta rounds with goat cheese and a mildly spiced sauce of pureed scallions, cilantro and jalapeno)
Bourbon and Brown Sugar Glazed Bacon and Shrimp (That says it all!)
vomFASS signature cocktails will be available for purchase, along with beer and wine from our own bar. Come early for starter cocktails (5:30), class begins at 6:00!
Our classes are small, so you get personal attention from our professional instructors. You will work with up to 3 others at your own work station. Your instructor, Chef Joel, is a nationally-recognized culinary instructor with 20 years of teaching experience. He brings his unique flair to teaching, using his sense of humor and passion for cooking to inspire and involve his students.
